Laurie Rich

Laurie Rich is a highly experienced and dynamic marketing, communications and business professional with a history of success in bringing about growth and increased marketability for established companies and start-ups. She brings to INFORM a unique combination of a law degree and former practice in New York with over 20 years of experience as an environmental communications, marketing and business specialist.

Laurie joined INFORM in 2004 and has served the organization in various capacities. First as Vice President of Programs, she oversaw all research personnel and projects across the organization’s major program areas, including Cleaning for Health, Chemical Hazards Prevention, Solid Waste Prevention and Sustainable Transportation. She then served as Director of Corporate Programs, designing, implementing and running INFORM’s corporate sector fundraising program. Laurie now works with INFORM as its Corporate Consultant.

Environmentalism and sustainability are threads that are woven throughout Laurie’s career, beginning with her work on the first Earth Day celebration in the US, and moving on to become the Project Director for solid waste, air and water publications at the Environment Information Center, Inc. (EIC) – one of the country’s first environmental publishing companies. Laurie also served as the Environment Editor of Chemical Week magazine, consulted for a variety of clients – from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups – and ran two start-up ventures of her own, one of which was an air pollution control technology company.
