How many types of warranties do you have with Trane?

Trane offers clients the possibility to choose from various types of warranty:

Base Limited Warranty

All Trane’s residential heating and cooling systems (air conditioner included) come with a Base Limited Warranty. The length of the warranty goes from one to 20 years. The warranty covers parts that no longer work because of manufacturing defects and doesn’t cover the labor spending.

If your unit breaks down under the Base Limited Warranty, Trane will ensure replacement parts for free. You will have to cover the shipping, handling, and installation spending.

Registered Limited Warranty

If you register your Trane air conditioner in the first 60 days after installation, the Base Limited Warranty becomes the Registered Limited Warranty. The warranty offers longer terms for covered parts (10years). It ensures warranty protection for some components that don’t function because of manufacturing defects.

Optional Extended Warranty

The Optional Extended Warranty comes in various options: 5, 10, or 12-year increments. It offers coverage on parts and includes labor spending as well. With this warranty, you will benefit from emergency assistance, system servicing, and routine maintenance. You can purchase coverage on equipment that has been installed for less than two years.

Trane’s TruComfort Air Conditioner Warranty

With this warranty, you get coverage on limited parts for ten years and 12 years for the compressor.

Trane’s Standard Air Conditioner Warranty

The Standard Air conditioner warranty covers limited parts and compressor for ten years.
