When you connect it with Nexia Home Intelligence, you cannot control the home’s heating and cooking system. You can have up to 230 separate Z-wave devices from a smartphone, tablet, or PC wherever you have an Internet connection.

Steps to take
Let’s assume you’ve already installed the app and you are now at the step where you need to connect your thermostat to Nexia.
- Read the Enroll in Nexia Home Intelligence and press Next.
- Choose to Accept in the License Agreement and hit Enter
- You will be requested a verification code.
Go to your computer and log into your Nexia Account.
- Click on Climate and then choose “Add Device”
- If you need to create a new account, go to www.nexiahome.com and choose Trane.
- Select Sign-up and follow the On-screen to create a new account
- As you see Device Screen, click on the thermostat and select Trane (the model you have)
- Click Continue
- As you get to Enrollment Confirmation Screen, click Continue
- You go to the Getting Started screen and click to continue.
- Once you reach the Device Enrollment Screen, you will notice a five-digit verification code. Click and wait for five minutes.
- Return to control and enter the five-digit code.
- Press Next
It will take a few moments until your thermostat will connect to Nexia Home intelligence.
- Press Done
Now, the status screen should indicate that you have completed the fifth step of the six stages of the Setup Wizard. Press Next for the last step.
