How to find Trane Manufacture Date

If you have a new unit, it’s not complicated to find your Trane HVAC system’s serial and model number. You should search the model number in the owner’s manual or any book that came with the unit for installation. Should you not find them in the books, you can always check out the unit—the number is printed on it.

Search for the data tag or sticker plate on the unit. You will find all the detailed information for your unit in the data tag. Thanks to the data tag, the serial number, model number, ANSI rating, etc., will be found out.

Air conditioner or heat pump

The data tag is placed on the top, right rear of the outdoor unit.

Trane furnace

You will find the serial number of Trane furnaces on your furnace’s left or right panel.

Trane Packaged unit

Should you buy a Trane Packaged unit, you will discover the manufacturer date on the rear panel of the outdoor unit.
