TENVIS Security Camera

Review of TENVIS Security Camera- Wireless Camera, IP Camera with Night Vision

One of the many reasons for which you have a pet is to love and to be loved unconditionally. Going away from home for work is hard enough, especially when your furry pet may miss you or suffer from a medical condition.

Luckily for pet owners, a good surveillance camera is going to help you take a peek at your pet from time to time. It can also allow you to talk and listen to it any now and then, helping each other out throughout the day.

What’s to say about the TENVIS Security Camera-  in a couple of words?

In all fairness, the TENVIS Security Camera-  isn’t only for pet surveillance. Thanks to the new Tenvis camera technology, the camera comes with pan/tilt/zoom functions, which recommends it for various surveillance applications.

You can also store the footage into the SD card or the cell phone and take a look at it whenever you feel like it. The risk for privacy leaks is minor, and the camera is a great buy, especially considering its price.

Let’s go over the details!

TENVIS Security Camera details

The TENVIS Security Camera–  is a 720HP camera that is created with 355-degrees horizontal and 120-degree vertical rotation, which means it’s capable of 360-degree complete coverage of the designated area.

It has high-tech optic lens for sharp and crisp images of 1280x720MP. You can connect as many cameras as you need/want in the system for monitoring your entire home.

You’re going to be able to check your pet even at night since the TENVIS Security Camera-  has Night Vision, with a range up to 32 ft at night. It’s the “Smart Eyes” technology of the camera which provides clear vision through 11 infrared LED light, without affecting your sleepy pet.

The camera has a 3-second sensitive motion detection response and may record a 15-second video the moment is triggered. It sends you an alarm in less than 3 seconds. You may also set it up to eight different positions that it memorizes. You only need one touch for checking the posts later on.

It’s a smart camera that identifies danger instantly and accurately, sending a notification to your phone right away. It even sends an email. Once you receive the notification, you can talk and calm your pet since the camera is a two-way audio model for real-time communication. You can hear each other, and the sound quality is excellent thanks to the noise elimination feature and the built-in microphone. The talking experience is high-quality.

Due to the “Sound Wave Smart Connection,” you can set the Wi-Fi in just one click. A late app also provides an instruction video for better understanding. You can always begin and stop recording the videos from your smartphone. It offers 128GB storage space, which means almost two months of footage. Keep in mind that the SD card isn’t included.

Is it difficult to set it up or to use it?

More often than not, the setup should be a breeze. You only need to plug in the camera, scanning the barcode on the camera through the app. It’s normal for the camera to emit a tone when it’s going through its power-on cycle. Remember to turn up the phone and set it next to the camera. The phone/app is also going to sound a computer encoded signal that the camera uses for pairing.

Once everything excellent and dandy, you should be able to enjoy the high-resolution pictures and the many features.

You also need to be aware of the fact that the camera takes 802. 11 b/g/n 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi and it’s not able to support 5Ghz Wi-Fi.

Should you have enough networking experience, you may be able to customize it a lot better. You can connect several cameras and give each of them a private IP address on the router. You can set port forwarding so that you may use the DNS service for assessing the cameras. Thanks to the DNS address, you’re going to be able to access the IP camera software remotely. You need Internet Explorer, though as the camera view doesn’t handle Google Chrome browser. The camera browser software is going to let you view several cameras on just one screen.

If you have cloud service with the FTP address, the video and alarm snapshots are going to go to the FTP server. The more experience you have, the easier is going to be for you to customize the surveillance system.

What do we like the most about the camera?

The TENVIS Security Camera-  isn’t just an affordable (even though it may be sealing the deal for many out there), but also a dependable model. Therefore,  here’s what we like the most about it:

  • Installation and use run smoothly
  • The images are clear
  • The sound quality is good on both ends
  • It allows remote viewing
  • The coverage area is extensive
  • You can obtain bright images even at night
  • It will enable additions of several cameras

Is there something we like less?

No camera is perfect, and the TENVIS Security Camera-  doesn’t make an exception. Having said that, you should keep in mind that none of the downsides make it as deal breakers for us:

  • Some consider the hardware to be a bit bulky
  • The connection gets lost at times
  • The cord is a bit short
  • It doesn’t support 5Ghz Wi-Fi

Some also worry about the lack of security firewalls. The risk for people jumping on/off the network and trying to hack the system isn’t null. It may also record unusual sounds and orbs in the middle of the night, with the camera moving on its own sometimes.

What’s our final thought on the camera?

The camera gives clear and crisp images of your pet while you’re at work. You can also listen to your pet and calming your pet down when something goes wrong. If that’s not good enough, you should also remember that you can store the footage (up to 60 days) so that you can review the best moments of the latest months. Still not convinced? You don’t spend more than $40 for one, and you can install as many as you need. Do we have a deal or not?
