How Good Are American Standard Furnaces

How Good Are American Standard Furnaces

American Standard has one of the richest experiences in the HVAC industry as its beginning goes way back in time. The current lineup from American Standard includes heat pumps, furnaces, air conditioners, faucets, tubs, toilets, and many equipments related to HVAC. When you buy an American Standard furnace, have peace of mind knowing that you won’t need to buy a new one any time soon. With proper maintenance and prompt servicing, American Standard furnaces will last longer than products from other manufacturers.

How good is American Standard Furnace?

When you buy a furnace from a manufacturer whose existence began in the last century, you can expect nothing but excellent performance and reliability. So the question isn’t, “How good is the American Standard furnace?” But instead, “Why is an American Standard furnace so good?”

To understand why American Standard furnaces are some of the customers’ favorites, we need to take a good look from a distance and up close to their models. Let’s start by reminding you that American Standard was born at the end of the 1920s when a cast-iron radiator manufacturing company (American Radiator) and a plumbing company (Standard Sanitary Manufacturing Company) merged. With such an experience and presence in the HVAC industry, it makes perfect sense why American Standard products are found in three out of five American households in one of the company’s forms (air conditioner, furnace, heat pump, etc.).

To top it all, the company was bought in 2008 by Ingersoll Rand, taking its business to a new level. Today, Trane and American Standard share the same lines in the same factory for the HVAC systems. Some say that the colors and badging are the only differences, but we beg to differ.

American Standard furnace—from a distance

American Standard furnaces are among the high-tier HVAC brands at the top of the list regarding reliability, quality, and price. Carrier and Trane are within this category as well. American Standard provides customers with heating and cooling systems for all needs and preferences.

Its furnaces aren’t about working harder but smarter. American Standard furnaces are highly efficient and have proprietary features like variable-speed Vortical blowers. They will utilize the proper energy to give you the comfort you want at some point in your home. There are many models to choose from and you don’t need to empty your wallet for an American Standard furnace.

What are the exclusive features?

American Standard is equivalent to reliable heating and cooling systems that will last decades if properly taken care of. However, the innovative technologies, attention to detail, and focus on making better products are essential to why American Standard has become the reputed company we know today.

Acculink™ Communicating System

Acculink is an advanced communication system with all American Standard furnaces. Thanks to the communication system, the various parts of the HVAC system will communicate with each to obtain the best operation. The system is also essential for monitoring performance and making settings from a distance.

Comfort-R™

One of the things you need to do to improve your comfort inside is to have an adequate humidity level. The Comfort-R feature is created to decrease moisture levels in the air. Therefore you can maintain the thermostat at a high setting without losing comfort.

Another excellent part about the Comfort-R technology is that it also runs in the summer to lower humidity levels and maintain your house cool without being dry.

Hot Surface Igniter

The long-lasting hot surface igniter permits the burner to safely and electrically start for highly efficient operation. If the standing pilot light needs fuel to remain lit, the hot surface igniter eliminates the need for gas when you don’t use the furnace. The hot surface igniter is more than an efficient alternative to the standing pilot. It’s a safe option not to add useless heat to your furnace during the warm season when it’s lit.

Vortica™ II Blower

Vertica II Blower is made with solid composite materials with high cracking, corrosion, and rust resistance. The material is durable and the blower is one of the most influential models. It improves airflow and lowers noise while delivering constant and adequate airflow year-round.

Accuclean™ Whole-Home Air Cleaner

The AccuClean air cleaner is a specially made filter created to eliminate up to 99.98% of pollutants, allergens, and contaminants from the air inside the house. The filter will remove particles as small as 0.1 microns, making it more efficient than HEPA filters. Additionally, the filter is 100 times more efficient than standard furnace filters. On top of everything else, the Accufilter is reusable and you can easily clean it with a vacuum.

The filter’s 10-year limited warranty on the functional components is another benefit. We want to highlight that the Accuclean filter doesn’t come with all American Standard furnaces. You can buy it separately for the compatible models.

Note

American Standard furnaces can be used with Nexia Home Automation systems.
